An unlikely but thoroughly loveable assemblage of 44% Cabernet Franc, 39% Malbec, 9% Merlot and 8% Syrah from our Hawkes Bay vineyards. The Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec are sourced from our Gimblett Gravels and Red Metal vineyards and the Syrah comes from a small, limestone site tucked into the Havelock Hills. Vintage 2008 was very kind indeed in Hawkes Bay and all parcels were in superb condition at harvest. All components were seperately vinified and aged in barrel and then for a period of time in tanks before assemblage and bottling.
